🌱 ProUA Hub Eco Project

Caring for Nature • Connecting Communities • Growing Hope

Our Eco Project began with a simple idea — to turn a neglected corner of Springburn into a living green space filled with colour, care, and community spirit.
Together with volunteers, families, and local partners, we’ve created an area where people can grow plants, learn, share skills, and reconnect with nature.

🌿 What We Do

Community Gardening: planting flowers, herbs and seasonal vegetables.

Eco Workshops: learning about composting, biodiversity and sustainable living.

Creative Wellbeing: using nature and art to support emotional resilience.

Volunteer Days: bringing together local residents, refugees and families for shared action and fun.

❄️ Winter Kindness – Caring for Wildlife

During the colder months, our work continues.
Volunteers meet weekly in Springburn Park to care for the garden and to feed the local ducks and swans safely using eco-friendly grain and seeds.
These gentle outdoor gatherings combine wellbeing, learning and kindness — offering calm connection with nature even in winter.

“When we care for nature, we care for ourselves.”

We also plan to install small eco-feed stations and educational signs to teach visitors how to support wildlife responsibly.

🌸 Why It Matters

The Eco Project promotes inclusion, health, and environmental awareness.
For many displaced people and isolated residents, gardening and feeding wildlife bring peace, friendship, and a sense of belonging to the local community.

Together, we are creating not just a garden — but a living symbol of hope and renewal in Springburn.
