Nature Wellbeing Project: A Blooming Success in Edinburgh!
EDINBURGH – May 10, 2026 — We are thrilled to share the latest update from our Nature Wellbeing Project, made possible by The National Lottery Community Fund.
Following our successful launch in Inverkip, our second excursion took us yesterday, May 9th, to the world-renowned Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. It was a day defined by vibrant colors, enchanting scents, and a shared sense of inspiration.
Highlights of the Day
Our group spent the afternoon exploring globally-famed plant collections and wandering through the iconic blooming rhododendron paths. The garden served as a perfect urban oasis, offering secluded clearings where participants found peace and tranquility.
Creativity & Connection
The trip was more than just a walk; it was an opportunity to connect. Participants engaged in:
-
Photography & Reflection: Capturing natural details that resonated with their personal journeys.
-
Heartfelt Conversations: Building friendships in a safe, harmonious outdoor setting.
About the Project
Supported by National Lottery players, this initiative is designed to support refugees, older adults, and anyone looking to enhance their wellbeing. By the end of this project, we will have completed 12 guided excursions across Scotland, including:
-
Coastal and forest expeditions.
-
Visits to Scotland's most beautiful heritage gardens.
-
Interactive creative workshops.
🙏 With Gratitude
We extend our deepest thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund for funding these 12 adventures. These trips are vital in helping our community reconnect with nature and each other.
